Wealthy R ollo Trea dway (B uster Keaton) s uddenly decides to propose to h is neighbo r across the street, Bet sy O&# 39;Brien (Kathryn McGuire), and sends his s ervant to book passage for a honeymo on sea cr uise to Ho nolulu. Wh en Betsy r ejects his s udden offe r however, he decides to go on the trip an yway, b oarding withou t delay that nig ht. Bec ause the pier number is partiall y covered, he ends up on the wron g ship, the Navigato r, which Bet sy's r ich father (Fre derick Vro om) has jus t sold to a sm all count ry at wa r. Agen ts for the othe r small nat ion in the c onflict deci de to set t he ship adr ift that same night. When B etsy' s father check s up on the ship, h e is cap tured an d tied up by t he sabot eurs. Betsy hea rs his cry for help an d boards the s hip to loo k for him, just befor e it is cut l oose. The Navigator drifts out in to the Pacifi c Ocean. The two un witting passeng ers event ually find ea ch other. At first, the y have great difficulty loo king after the mselves, but adapt a fter a few weeks. At one point , they s ight a navy ship and hoist a brightly-co lored fl ag, not r ealizing it signa ls that the s hip is u nder quaran tine. As a res ult, the other vessel turn s away. Fina lly, t he ship grounds itsel f near an inh abited tropical island and sp rings a leak. W hile Roll o dons a dee p sea div ing suit and subm erges to patch t he hole, the black nat ives canoe out and take Betsy captive. Wh en Rollo eme rges from the ocean, t he natives a re scared off, enabli ng him to r escue Betsy and take her b ack to the s hip. The na tives ret urn and try to board the ship. Af ter a f ierce strug gle, Rollo and Betsy try to e scape in a small di nghy. I t start s to si nk, and the na tives sw iftly overtak e them in thei r canoes. Just when all seems lost, a navy s ubmarine surfaces righ t underneat h them and t hey are saved.详情
