Wealthy R ollo Tre adway (Bust er Keaton) sudd enly decid es to propose t o his neighbor across the stre et, Be tsy O& ;#39;Brie n (Kathryn Mc Guire), and s ends his servant to book passa ge for a honeymoon sea cruise to Honolulu. When Bets y reject s his sud den offer how ever, he decides to go on the trip anyway , boarding without delay that night. Bec ause the pi er number is partia lly covered , he ends up on the wr ong shi p, the Navigator, which Be tsy&#39 ;s rich father (Frederick Vroom) has just sold to a sm all country at war. Agents for the other s mall nation i n the c onflict deci de to s et the ship adrift that sam e night. Whe n Betsy &#3 9;s father checks up on the ship, he is captured and tie d up by the saboteurs. Betsy hea rs his cry for help and boards the ship to l ook for him, j ust before it is cu t loose. The Navigator d rifts ou t into the P acific Oc ean. The two unwitting p assengers eventuall y find e ach other. A t first, they have gr eat diffi culty look ing after themselves, but adapt aft er a few weeks. At one p oint, th ey sight a navy ship and hoist a brightly-co lored flag, not realizi ng it sig nals that t he ship is under quarantine. As a re sult, the o ther vessel turns away. F inally, the ship ground s itself n ear an inhabi ted tro pical is land and sp rings a leak. While R ollo dons a deep sea d iving suit a nd subm erges to patch the hol e, the black na tives canoe out and take Be tsy captive . When Rol lo emerges from the ocean, the natives are sca red off, en abling him t o rescue Bet sy and t ake her back to the shi p. The natives return and t ry to board t he ship. Af ter a fierce struggle, Rollo a nd Bets y try to escape in a sm all dingh y. It start s to sin k, and the natives swif tly overtake th em in their canoes. J ust whe n all seems lost, a na vy submar ine surfaces r ight under neath th em and they are saved.详情
